Kilwaughter Sponsor Hospice Walk
Staff are preparing to step out for the Larne Hospice Walk taking place on Saturday 31st March at 10am. The company has been a sponsor of the Larne Hospice walk for the past eight years, and this year is no exception.
Confirming their partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice Lisa Neill, Marketing & Product Development Manager commented,
“We are delighted to support the Northern Ireland Hospice Walk at Larne and will be actively encouraging all staff members, customers and families to participate in this very special event. It’s the perfect opportunity for a day out, full of enjoyment whilst helping to raise money for those in need of local Hospice support.’’
Northern Ireland Hospice currently cares for over 3,000 people across both adult and children’s services in hospice and the local community. Money raised from events the 2012 Hospice Walk will help care for those living with a terminal illness and will offer support for their families. All care is free of charge and is provided 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Speaking of the importance of the Hospice Walk, Events Manager for NI Hospice, Joanna Pawson said, “The 2012 walk needs to raise £180,000 to ensure that every family coping with a serious illness gets the help that they need. Every pound raised or donated will make a difference.”
The Larne Hospice Walk will take place on Saturday 31st March and includes two walk routes – a five mile walk and eight mile walk. Both walks will start and finish at Larne Leisure Centre, Tower Road at 10am.
