Kilwaughter Lime supplied 400 tonne of Quarry Red Stone to N.I’s newest tourist attraction, “The Gobbins” spectacular new pathway adventure along the Causeway Coastal Route.
The towering giants cling to the edge of Islandmagee some 20 miles north of Belfast where the £7.5m project to reawaken this the coastal experience will allow the path to open to the public for the first time in 60 years.
The modern cliff path at The Gobbins will be an adrenaline-charged walk thrilling those with a sense of adventure, giving an up close experience with the coast.
A guide will escort you on the journey along the narrow winding cliff edge, which rises and dips following the curves of curious geology and bridges, caves, tunnels, steps, unique rock formations and stunning views will present themselves along the journey.
The Gobbins is due to open officially on 19 August 2015. The attraction is expected to be popular and advance booking is advised. The online booking system will be opening in the coming weeks at www.thegobbinscliffpath.com
